Weather Report

As I write this, I see the clouds of a storm gathering on the horizon, and it is easy to see

ree

that those clouds have lightning and showers in them because it is very visible. I just wish I could see solutions to things around in our world better, and then I would be wiser in my life decisions. Life can get a little confusing at times, and without us having a strong faith, we might just throw up our hands and run down the road talking to ourselves, which would not be good. Jesus spoke the following words in the Gospel according to Luke, and in Luke 12 Jesus says the following. Luke 12: 54 Then Jesus turned to the crowd and said, “When you see clouds beginning to form in the west, you say, ‘Here comes a shower.’ And you are right.55 When the south wind blows, you say, ‘Today will be a scorcher.’ And it is.56 You fools! You know how to interpret the weather signs of the earth and sky, but you don’t know how to interpret the present times. 57 “Why can’t you decide for yourselves what is right?

These words from Jesus come off as Him warning of future things happening before He comes again. We need to be realistic about seeing and interpreting our times, and some of the signs might be so confusing that we have to say, "Jesus, I will just trust you on this one and believe in your care and power in working this all out." This brings us back to our base faith, which, when exercised, totally trusts Jesus in ALL things, and we realize in our heart that trusting Him is not a weakness, but a strength. Jesus is always trying to lead us to a "better" faith, which is the faith of not believing in what we see, but believing in what we cannot see. Some believers just cannot get to this kind of faith, but we need to.

The weather report in our world seems to be a lot of storms, earthquakes, fires, floods, tornadoes, wars, and the threat of more wars. It seems pretty easy for me to figure out I need to hold on even more closely to my relationship with my Savior, cause He is ever close to me in times of trouble. Psalm 46:God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Keep in mind this faith that Jesus calls the better faith, not only sustains me, but keeps me depending on Him and Him alone, which is what He wants. For this is God's will.

This storm may pass over, but there will be more, and how I handle myself in the midst of the storm is directly connected to how much I trust God to keep me safe. That safety will keep me through the next step, which is either going home to be with the Lord, or Him coming through the clouds to get me. Either one is awesome, and He is faithful to keep that which He has committed, and I believe it.

If you want to download the latest weather report app, then download the Word of God into your mind and let it show you a better faith, which trusts in God's truth and not in our eyes alone. Our eyes can fool us, but God's truth tells me I am not to be a fool when things happen, and to trust God in all things. Instead of fearing the rain and storms, grow as God replenishes your faith as He leads us through the storms of life. God is faithful, and I glorify Him in the midst of His care and love.
