Promise

Have you ever made a promise and had to hedge on it because of unknown circumstances? I have had that very thing happen to me and it hurts deep. Our promises are only sinners' promises, so they will not work out from time to time. God's promises are real, pure, and reliable. Promise (def) - A statement or assurance that you will or will not do a specific action. The writer of Hebrews tells me more and more of the 'real' make of promises in the following verses Hebrews 10: ²³ Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Do not waver because our God's promises are real and they always comes through!! To doubt God's promises is like doubting our faith, which is very stupid and makes us unreliable believers. His promises are true. 2 Corinthians 1:²⁰ For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.

We live on the awesome side of God's 'yes' and we should, because God is on His throne and sees all that is happening to His children. God himself proclaimed His promises to those who were called His people, like those who are born again are His children. Jeremiah 29:¹¹ For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. ¹² In those days when you pray, I will listen. When I prayed this morning, God was listening and praise God He reacts according to His promises!!! When God makes a promise, that is a promise you can rely on and I am relying on His promises according to His riches in glory.

Here is another great promise from Jesus that you can count on. John 14:2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. If you have not received Jesus and you are not born again, then this promise is for you also, and you receive this promise by faith, and the rest is abundant life. Receive Him today.
