Greatness

I have a quick capacity to doubt God, and I am tired of it!!! I write these blogs, and I believe everything I write, and then doubt God in the midst of writing them. CRAZY!! This morning, I was encouraged by the words of the Apostle Paul in his letter to the church in Ephesus. Ephesians 1: ¹⁹ I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe in him. This is the same mighty power ²⁰ that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. ²¹ Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come.

God spoke a word of encouragement and power to me this morning, and I want to share what He showed me from this holy encounter.

1. God is great and greatly to be praised. In other words, our praise comes from our realization that God's power is unlimited and that power is accessible by those who are believers, or those who are born again. That is encouragement number 1.

2. This same power that raised Christ from the dead is the same power that we now live in and can access. Power to heal. Power to fight the enemy. Power to live in confidence, and power to follow God's will for our lives. This power raised Jesus from the dead and placed Him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms, so this power WORKS!!

3. As a result, Jesus is above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else, not only in the world, but also in the world to come. That power is right here and right now and is ready to give me the strength and the power to live the victorious life I am called to live. No matter what!!

4. The hold back is when I do not believe, and therein lies my problem. SO I BELIEVE, AND THAT SETTLES IT. Problem solved, and God's greatness is released in my life.

Today, Lord, use me for YOUR glory and empower me to live in freedom because of your grace, and also live in victory because you defeat all of my enemies, including satan. Bind him and be glorified in my life. I am a vessel needing to be filled by your Holy Spirit, so please fill me as only you can. I praise this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus!!
