Philippians 2:13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
When Jesus comes into our life He comes in with a great capacity to do good works as we grow in our faith. If we don't do that work then before long we become weighted down because we keep all of the Jesus part of our life inside and never share it with anyone else. It is estimated that if sheep are not sheered at least once a year they will have so much wool it will begin to confine their movement and be very hazardous to their health. Like the picture above of the sheep who hadnt been sheered in a long time what should be a blessing of giving becomes a weight that holds us back. Keep in mind that it is God inside of us that is bringing forth that good fruit and the purpose is for others to be blessed by it, so don't keep it to yourself or you will be full of unshared blessings that God wants to share THROUGH you.
Paul wrote a list of these fruits in Galatians 5:22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! The Holy Spirit continues producing these fruits that are to be shared for all to see when they come in contact with a believer and if we hold back these Godly fruits we not only hurt others, but we hurt ourselves.
So let it go, or should I say "let Him go!" Many times a believer will not share their faith because they are fearful. But in reality it is the most natural thing to do because that is our story....our story. To hold back our story is to hold back God's story in our life and that fruit is the most precious fruit. It is a fruit that gives a lost person a way to get out of their lostness because they see what happened in our story. We need a revival in the church with believers once again sharing their faith and that will be like sheering the sheep who had not been shorn in so long. They are still the same sheep underneath, but they begin to share that fruit of wool so others can use it. Pastor Greg Laurie said . The most miserable man or woman is the one who knows what is right and does not do it. So......do what is right and what is natural. Share your experience with Jesus and bear the fruit He gives you to bear.
The Pilgrimage continues.......
