What Could Be?

What could happen if a group of faith walking believers decided to "be the church" as defined in the Word of God? It would be an incredible adventure in faith that would produce many born-again believers and reach the world as commanded by Jesus Christ. There is no other formula needed than the Holy Spirit coming alive in each believer's heart and mind and "going for it." I believe. I truly believe that there are things that can hold back such a revival from happening. #1 - When the poison of religion takes the forefront of those believers' thinking, and they try to rely on their own efforts to make it happen. This is why the church is in such a "fix" right now. Too much religion, and not enough relationship. #2 - No vision. Scripture says that without a vision the people wander aimlessly, and we can see that without a central vision and unity in the fellowship of the church, the people wander in other directions than the best direction, and the central theme of the church is blurred and weakened. Proverbs 29:18 When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild.
But whoever obeys the law is joyful. We find our divine guidance in a central vision, and that vision is to follow the Word of God and equip the people. #3 - There needs to be the correct leadership to rally the people around the Biblical vision that is necessary for the church fellowship to come to life. Yes, you must have someone "with" a vision. That is why the Lord anoints certain individuals to lead the church in the direction the Word of God points and thus equips the church to come together as a "body" to follow that direction without compromise. The Apostle Paul united a group of churches from all over to follow that vision and continued to write to key people who had sold out to that vision to encourage them to keep their eyes on the prize and the Savior's call. The person who is anointed will not look at their calling as a "Christian Job", but as a direct calling from a Holy God to lead the church. In modern-day terms, we call that man a "pastor." The Merriam-Webster definition of a pastor is weak and it misses the point of the necessary ingredients an anointed man must have to lead their church. Paul laid it out this way in Ephesians 4:11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. 13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
What is holding back your "sleeping giant," called the church? Let the church breathe and grow, and expand, and the lost will be saved, and the born-again believers will realize an exciting life of purpose and vision that only comes through the power of the Holy Spirit. What could be is an on-fire church that grows and sends out servants and follows the Great Commission as it should be followed. Pray for the right leadership and then fill the position with someone who actually believes the Word of God and revival will happen, and you will see God move in extraordinary ways. Not my words, but the Word of God says it will happen. John 15:7 But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! 8 When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.
God is waiting for you to "step up" and take the next step to see what He can do when He is released from the religious fog we have confined Him in. With God, everything is possible. Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God, everything is possible.”
WHAT COULD BE!!! Everything......
