Time to Rise Up!!

ree

The Prophet Isaiah writes in Isaiah 60: 1 Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you. Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you. What will it take for "the church" to rise up? As I wrote in my last blog 2 Chronicles 7: 14 Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 15 My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place. Every prayer from the Temple of the Holy Spirit? We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. So, what will it take for "the church" to rise up? Pray to the God who is listening for His people to voice their cries to the throne. Because of Jesus, we can come boldly before that throne and cry out to the God who loves us, and He wants to hear from us. We are not praying for a new leader or for government programs. We are praying for a revival in "the church" as never before.

We live in a world inundated with an evil spirit, and it is the spirit of apathy. So evil is this spirit that it permeates every thought, every dream, and every bit of movement in our world, and yes, in the church. It is time to rise up by getting on our knees and repenting for not following the Word of God, and believing wives' tales for scripture and dead traditions for faith. No more can the church hope to follow the Great Commission by allowing this evil spirit to rule. Break free, O church, and Rise Up as never before because God is listening for the prayers of His people, but we are sleeping in this very important hour.

A.W. Tozer wrote, “We cannot continue to ignore God’s will as expressed in the Scriptures and expect to secure the aid of God’s Spirit.” Paul wrote this to the church in Rome in Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. 13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

Where are you, O church? Restore your heart for revival, and we will experience awakening as never before. No need for sackcloth and ashes, just repent and walk into victory! Our church altars should be full of God's people waking up to the fact that we have been asleep for far too long. God's Spirit is calling, and we are the ones needing to answer the call. Paul wrote in Ephesians 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. 18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit. We have become drunk in our complacency and weak in our action, and we need a Holy Spirit-powered work of God because even the deepest committed Christians are beginning to fall away. How long will we tarry when God is calling us to Rise Up Today!! If you read this, please share and begin praying for God to move as never before, and He will!! The Psalmist said the following in Psalms 34:17 The Lord hears his people when they call to Him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.

18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

Are the waves of mediocrity lapping and about to capsize your boat? Then walk on the waves to victory. God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all about the church rising up. You can begin this whole thing by praying from a heart of faith and conviction. No prayer guides or anything contrived, just heartfelt cries to the one who can change everything in an instant!

Today's Message,

David Warren
