The Word on the Street - Wake Up!!

Updated: Oct 24

The word for born-again believers today is to wake up!! A different kind of faith than what God says has risen to the top. A type of faith has reared its ugly head and many believers have bought into it hook line and sinker. The church in so many ways has become a "sleeping giant!" Satan will do whatever he can to ensure we don't wake up, so, in the flesh, this weak type of faith has risen to the forefront. Time to wake up!!

Paul wrote the following words in Ephesians 5:10 Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. 11 Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. 12 It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. 13 But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, 14 for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” It is so sad to see that we are all about worthless deeds. It is an epidemic in the church and the end result is hardly anyone is serving in a life of worship to the Lord.

The Word on the Street is this: Time to wake up the sleeping giant and get back on track. But it will take people who are willing to change from the bad direction (our own) to God's direction and then we will see God-sized results. Result; No more "begging" believers to just attend church but invest their lives through service in the church. No more unforgiveness and judging because that will be replaced with an attitude of love and forgiveness and we will no longer "compete" with each other, but we will work together in spirit and truth worship with our lives. Romans 12:1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good, pleasing, and perfect.

It is time to Morph into a new life of purpose that is spent growing in the Word and living out of that growth, as led by the Holy Spirit. By the way, life in the Spirit totally lines up with the Word of God. Nuff Said.

The Pilgrimage Continues...
