The Unexplained

UFOs are in the news quite a bit lately and the number of sightings is up considerably. Some people who didn't believe in them at all are now beginning to think some of this could be true. Honestly, I don't know what to believe about what people are seeing and the unknown seems to be a reality. There are things in life that have little or no explanation and sometimes that can be very frustrating. Jesus shares some insights about the unexplainable in Luke 21 where he says 25 “And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth, the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides.26 People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Keep in mind that scripture also says "Do not worry about anything" and Jesus himself says this in Matthew 6: 34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Just knowing that all of this is in God's hands should be enough to enable the believer to walk through it trusting God, but at times the unexplained can get so crazy we just get scared. Ultimately for the Christian, we have the hope of Jesus coming again, and further, in Luke 21, Jesus says this 27 Then everyone will see the Son of Man[e] coming on a cloud with power and great glory. 28 So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!”

So when we as Christians have a lot of this unexplained going on we should "look up!" I have been "looking up" a lot lately and it causes me to have a more powerful urgency for sharing the gospel. May the hearts of believers be stirred again to reach the lost as Jesus told us to and let these unexplained occurrences drive us back to the Main Thing. We have become distracted or side-tracked by smaller issues and our attention needs to be on the "matters at hand."

Stay on course ole gospel ship and keep on heading to the promised land and take all who jump on board with you. God is still saving people and to the lost and dying world, The Unexplained truth of the saving power of Jesus is easy to explain. Just tell them what happened to you and what God offers to them as a gift and then lead them through the sinners' prayer. EXPLAINED!!
