Shoulda, Coulda

Colossians 2: 6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
The life change we have after being born-again is a radical change, because we are now new!! All things are new according to 2 Corinthians 5:15, and that newness doesn't "wear off" because it is powered by the wonderful grace of God. Without His grace, we would become old and stale in our faith, and before long, disenchanted with the whole thing. But God is new every day, and on that day, He has new plans for you and me. The roots of our faith are always wanting to grow deep, so we have to make an effort to keep those roots from getting deeper. Who would do that? I will leave the answer up to you.
Paul says the result of those deeper roots is a strong faith that is based on the truth the Word of God teaches us. When we experience that truth, we are so thankful, because now our life is built on perfect truth and our life has an abundant fruitfulness that was not there before and a list of fruits is mentioned in Galatians 5:22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
What happens now is your shoulda, coulda becomes a want and loveta. We are drawn to service as the one true servant, Jesus, is seen and known more in our lives. Our whole perspective changes, and it is not how we were before Jesus. We are new!!
