Read The Book

Psalm 19:The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The commandments of the Lord are right,

bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living. If you want to know how to build something, look at the instructions. Our old printer died last week, so I ordered a new one, and when it got here, I proceeded to set it up. It appeared to be just like the last printer I set up, but it wasn't. After about ten minutes of everything not working right, I wised up and read the directions for "this" printer. The setup was totally different than the other one, and what had been a frustrating attempt on my own suddenly became a rewarding, fast setup on this one. All because I followed the instructions for the new printer.

I just needed to read the instructions, and everything fell into place. We don't have to guess our way through life because God gives us His perfect Word to guide us, empower us, and show us the way. From time to time, my prayer will be one thing: "God, please show me the way," and He does. God's instructions may seem a little cryptic to me, but really they are very clear and helpful, as it says in the above verses, The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.

The whole problem is me, and when I don't get in the Word of God, everything gets pretty confusing, and frustration sets in real quick. Read the Bible and see what God shows you for your life, and you may be surprised that you want to read it again and again because of the insights it gives you into God's plan for living, and more specifically, for your life. Do you want a great plan for your life? Read the Book!!!!
