Qualifications - The Wrath

Writer's picture: David WarrenDavid Warren

1 Peter 5:8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.

You have probably heard it said that when you are encountering attacks from the devil you must be doing something right for God. I believe there is wisdom in that kind of reasoning and the significance of what Jesus dealt with in the wilderness before He began His walk to the cross, shows that satan is alive and well, and always trying to defeat anyone he can. Peter dealt with the attacks of satan many times in scripture, even to the point of denying Jesus at a very pivotal time, but Jesus restored Him after that great fall. Satan is constantly trying to thwart the work of Jesus, and he appears to be VERY strong, but our God is so much more powerful than he is, so don't let the attack of the enemy get you off course.

The wrath of satan is a sure indication that God has great plans for us and His perfect will lines up our lives if we will seek HIm. Seeking God sets our foundation on Jesus and the wrath of the devil will not keep God from supplying our needs. In Matthew 6:33 Jesus said 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. If you need the power of God in any situation, then you've got it! If you. need wisdom in any situation, then you've got it! If you are confused and need God to show you the way, then His way is shown in full supply. The key is to SEEK HIM!

Satan will try to impose his wrath and his heaviness on you, but God deals with him in this way as written by Paul in Romans 8:1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.2 And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. God's Word says it so I believe it! God's Word says NO CONDEMNATION! Satan is the one who condemns, but God. Yes, but God gives us life in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Time to admit it. Life without the Spirit of God is no life at all. Oh, that a church would stand for that one pure fact and build its ministry on it. We are too busy trying to get the peripherals to get the pure truth of the Word of God and act on it. If a church "woke" up to the fact that God has defeated the wrath of the devil and built a ministry out of that truth what an impact that church could make on kingdom business? Why not now? Why not just where you are? There is no excuse that is good enough to stop what God has intended from the beginning. It is so simple we actually just miss it don't we?

You need to be an instrument of faith and take your stand and pray that God will kick in the power of the Holy Spirit through your faith commitment and God will make it happen. Be an instrument of change and that change is to get back to "the basics" of what our faith is supposed to be doing. Just let me know you are taking that stand and I will stand with you in prayer (or actually kneel) and we can form a bond of faith and pray for God to do something extraordinary. Time is of the essence and IT IS TIME!

Turn back the wrath of satan and release the power of God and see the lost saved and believers revived and awakened to hear the clarion call of the Savior!! We are qualified. Accept the challenge and shut down satans wrath.
