Only Jesus - Part 2

If you want pure truth, then you must be connected to the true vine, and get your sustenance from that vine only, or you are going down the wrong path. In a past church I served in I had a curious visitor come to my office after serving there for about two weeks. This visitor came to my office and asked me, "David, are you calvinist or arminian? To which I replied, "I am neither.:" I follow Jesus. At the time I felt like I was lacking something if I didn't say I was one or the other, and honestly I was very intimidated and felt a little foolish and lacking something. I knew what the Bible spoke to me, but thought "Is that good enough, or should I be one or the other?" That is how these movements get started, through a veiled attempt to intimidate, and I am glad the Holy Spirit spoke to me and told me to WATCH OUT and be wise, and only follow how Jesus speaks to me. The feeling of being lacking was replaced with a confidence that further drew me to study what Jesus said even more. John 14:⁶ Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. ⁷ If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!”

Do nor be deceived by the teachings of sinful man, but follow the Word of God and Only Jesus can give you the direction you need to live this life of faith. For me personally, I hope I never let another believer take me away from how God's Word speaks to me and that I test everything I hear and see. Paul said it this way in 1 Thessalonians 5:¹⁹ Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. ²⁰ Do not scoff at prophecies, ²¹ but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. ²² Stay away from every kind of evil.  My way of testing those spirits is to run them through Bible Litmus Test and then I can see clearly what I want to believe, and what I need to believer. ONLY JESUS!!
