Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning?

Jesus is born to Mary, who has been impregnated by the Holy Spirit. Jesus walks the earth as God and Man and begins His walk to the cross. Jesus gathers a group of followers who are followers of The Way. Jesus heals the sick, raises the dead, and gives new, abundant life to all who are born again. Jesus is tried, brutally beaten, wrongfully convicted, and gives His life on the cross. Jesus has finished His mission, even though it seems impossible, and the final reckoning is realized. Three words are said from Jesus as He hangs on the cross for you and me. IT IS FINISHED. Reckoning (def) - the action or process of calculating or estimating something. John 19:28 Jesus knew that his mission was now finished, and to fulfill Scripture he said, “I am thirsty.” 29 A jar of sour wine was sitting there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put it on a hyssop branch, and held it up to his lips. 30 When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Almost everything has been accomplished according to God's plan. It is Friday, but Sunday's coming! Jesus is the central figure in God's plan to defeat sin, death, and the grave, and it appears Satan has won, but there is a final reckoning by God in this whole story, and that Final Reckoning doesn't star Tom Cruise. This story stars our morning star, Jesus, who is the only one who can complete this seemingly impossible mission. We will look at what He did and how it affects our lives for eternity. God has the Last Word in this story. Praise God!!!
