Jesus Take the Wheel

To be more dependent on God and less dependent on our own wisdom is a huge move forward in our faith walk. We acquire a God-centered confidence that catapults us to a whole realm in our thinking about our faith. This doesn't turn into an attitude filled with conceit, but it does cause us to realistically trust Jesus in a whole new way that exudes confidence, and that confidence is something that is "catching". I call it a "shared vision," and that is the vision of a New Testament church. We make decisions knowing we will succeed, and in that faith, there is no doubt, and that is driven by a Godly confidence where we have said in our hearts, "Jesus, take the wheel," and we let Jesus lead us with His perfect direction. Without this "all in" way of thinking, we will miss some of the wonderful blessings God is sending our way because of our lack of trust. Paul, in writing to the church in Corinth, challenged that church to tap into this Godly confidence, and not only talk about trusting Jesus, but actually TRUST JESUS for everything.
2 Corinthians 3: 3 Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts. 4 We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. 5 It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. 6 He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death, but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.
Godly confidence is what Jesus builds His church on, and that church will continue to win souls and make disciples. The strong thing that needs to happen is when Jesus comes through, we give Him all the praise, but for sure, GIVE HIM PRAISE. It's good to brag on Jesus, which is us giving Him praise and glorifying His name. When those words get around, the whole world will stand up and notice that God is doing something, and that draws those searching for hope. It is the same as a light in the darkness, drawing bugs to that light. The difference is "we have the light and He is Jesus. Philippians 2: 14 Do everything without complaining and arguing, 15 so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. 16 Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless. 17 But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God, just like your faithful service is an offering to God. And I want all of you to share that joy. 18 Yes, you should rejoice, and I will share your joy.
We can run the race to win, but without the Holy Spirit, we are just beating into the air, and the result is nothing. Let Jesus take the wheel and trust Him to lead, and guess what? Jesus will drive us to where He wants us to go, and that direction will have a heavenly result.
The Pilgrimage Continues,
