Jesus is The Ultimate Vision Maker

(excerpt from the book Vision Maker)

Live the Life of Your Dreams: Be brave enough to live the life of your dreams according to your vision and purpose instead of the expectations and opinions of others.” Roy T. Bennett

Habakkuk 2:2 Then the Lord answered me and said “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, That the one who reads it may run. 3 “For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal, and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.

What is the purpose of Vision? To look toward accomplishing a dream given by God and the steps to take in getting there.

God’s Word says in Proverbs 29: 18 Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, but happy is he who keeps the law. *Restrained people have a fine-tuned focus toward a common goal or vision. Unrestrained people are wandering around aimlessly.

How does a vision benefit a person? It restrains or connects them to God’s plan for their life.

How does a vision benefit a church? It restrains or connects a church to God’s purpose, which we know is the Great Commission.

What vision have we been given as born-again followers of Jesus Christ?

Matthew 28: 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful. 18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

The word ULTIMATE is used many times to further emphasize the power of something and many times over used and underachieved. In saying that Jesus is the Ultimate Vision Maker, the statement cannot even compare or describe how awesome and powerful the vision of Jesus for our lives can be. It is a sad commentary for Christians to go through life aimlessly bumping from one thing to the next with no direction when the vision for living our life is right before us, and actually "in us" in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Jesus, the Ultimate Vision Maker, can take all born again believers to a new, higher level of living that is established by Jesus, and given through His Word. Get in tune with the world changing, life shaking, purpose driven power of the Ultimate Vision Maker, Jesus Christ!!
