Inescapable Love

Why would anyone try to allow human reactions to our needs to replace God's Inescapable Love. The love of the world is so counterfeit and weak, and yet we rely on others' thoughts about us, judgments about our character, impressions about what we wear, and what movies we like. It is all about control. Who is controlling your thoughts about what to do and where to go as you proceed on your faith walk? You are the one who makes the decision about who has credibility in your deep thoughts about direction and purpose. When we truly surrender that control over to God, He helps us realize how great His love is and how much He sees what we are going through. The world does not offer the kind of love our God gives to us. Even though God sent His son to die on the cross for sinners like you and me, He still offers more and more. He is love is escapable!

John 3:16-18 says it all about God's love and His reasons for what He did. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. Our God does not love us with a love that just barely fills the bill. His love is wider, deeper, higher, and longer than any other love, and other loves pale in comparison. Paul described a "need" for us to realize the love of God in our lives and realize how rich this love is in Ephesians 3:14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self, 17 and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

God's love realized is a wonderful thing as we "experience" this great love in its fullness if we don't try to humanize it. The Psalmist said it this way in Psalm 103: 1"Bless the Lord, my soul; all my being, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, my soul; and do not forget all his gifts, Who pardons all your sins, and heals all your ills, Who redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with mercy and compassion, Who fills your days with good things, so your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

I don't ever want to question God's love. I want to receive it. When Jesus saved me from my sin, His love covered me completely, and His love keeps on completing me every moment of every day, whether I realize it or not. Praise God for His inescapable Love that is something I understand more of every day, and that is because He shows me in His Word and in His faithfulness. Step into the presence of His love and realize the riches of this Inescapable Love.
