His Presence

Psalm 139:1 O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. 2 You know when I sit down or stand up.You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. 3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. 4 You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. 5 You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me too great for me to understand! 7 I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!

God's presence is right here. Right here!! The Psalmist spoke great truth and recognition that God is right here with us. Even when we don't want Him to be!! We sometimes think we can turn our closeness to God on and off as we want. Remember that when we received Jesus we received the Holy Spirit as well and that Holy Spirit is always with us because He is in us. To deny the realization of the presence of God is that step we take to quench the Spirit. God is always working and He is always moving and doing something to level us up in our walk with Him and those changes move us in the inner man known as our heart. The growth we have spiritually begins in the heart and the result is best seen in our walk. That result includes a different way of thinking, talking decision making, and much more. Our life purpose changes as well and we begin making decisions in our life totally led by the Holy Spirit. This in turn, compels us to deepen our walk with God and that is done through studying God's Word and living accordingly.

Everything we are and everything we do is connected to our heart growth, so we must protect our heart. Proverbs 4:23 says 23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Don't let bad visuals, bad words and other evil things influence you at the heart level, Keep your inner person in line with God's Word and the Word of God will show you how to keep your priorities right. What do you treasure most? Jesus said in Matthew 6:21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. God's presence is real and His presence is in the heart of all born again believers and He is ready equip all who call Him lord to live the life of victory that Jesus made possible on the cross.
