God's Plan

You may wonder, "Does God have a plan for my life?, and I believe scripture gives plenty of answers for what a calling God puts on the lives of His people. A calling with a purpose, and that purpose is to glorify Him. Luke records the parallel births of John the Baptist and Jesus, and both births were initiated and made to happen by God. Why? It was His plan. Prophecies foretold of this plan and every prophecy God gives to His people is fulfilled to a T. Our lives have great purpose when we ask, seek, and knock, and God will answer in every case, because He is the one who holds it all together.

What is God's plan for your life, and how do you find it? Just as I mentioned above. Jesus said it Himself in Matthew 7:“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. In the text it means to keep om asking, seeking, and knocking, which means that God is listening for our prayer for direction. Direction that is needed to follow His calling on my life. Ask God for wisdom in finding your callng. Seek God for the direction or type of calling, and by the way, He equips you to follow that calling with the Holy Spirit in your life. Knock, or pray for God's way of living your life, instead of your own wants and desires it is better to knock and find God's plan and then follow it.

Without a wiling heart none of this will make sense because you close off any doors when you are not thining of God's will first. You never know what God is calling you to if you have your ears and your heart closed to His voice. Paul did not hold back anything on this matter when he wrote to the church. in Ephesus. Ephesians 1:I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the boundless greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and made Him head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

God's plan is the best plan, whether we belive it or not. Do what some fishermen on the banks of the sea did when Jesus said "follow me." They followed Him for the rest of their lives and impacted the world forever.

The Pigrimage Continues,

David Warren
