God's Handiwork

Ephesians 2:For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. To know what we were created for is a major step in finding ourselves. It seems like so many people wander around trying to ''find themselves" when the answers to those questions lie within the pages of the Word of God. No more wandering around and no more wondering what to do next. Follow God's perfect will, and the answers are clear. We are here to do good works in the name of the Lord. However, what works for you is to be found by you in the Bible. Here is an example of one type of calling. Romans 12:1 Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Transformation is possible, and renewing our minds to prove the will of God will lead us to the answers we are looking for in life. Give our lives by sacrificing our will and following the will of the one who gave it all for us. Remember, His will is a perfect will. None better!! The best!! We are called to never conform to this world, but when the transformation takes place, so does our direction. Paul's direction was to take the gospel wherever God told him to take it. Yours may be to take the gospel next door or down the street, or wherever God's divine appointment leads you. God made you to be able to do everything He called you to do without question or doubt, and God has prepared opportunities to do just that wherever you go.
You are God's handiwork, and you can do far more than you think when you surrender to God's purposes for your life. If we are all pursuing God in that same way, we will see church fellowships rise from the dust and change their world with the very thing we call fellowship. Not a closed fellowship, but an open, growing fellowship where God is glorified and the saints are encouraged and growing in the Word. This can really happen because we are God's Handiwork.
