Faithfulness in Four Easy Steps

Step One - Faithfulness (def) - the quality of being loyal and steadfast. Some say loyalty is a thing of the past. Not in the life of a born-again believer. Loyalty and steadfastness are our "jam" and the tune is faithfulness. We are to be faithful because God is faithful, and that kind of faithfulness is real and "lasting."

When we are proven faithful, we realize that our calling has come full circle, and the end result is going to make an impact in the Lord's church. Some faithfulness facts: God is faithful. Jesus is faithful. The Holy Spirit is faithful. Faithfulness is a pure characteristic and result of the Holy Spirit in your life. If you have trouble with faithfulness, you need to make some adjustments in your faith walk. Our faithfulness should always mirror the faithfulness of God. Paul wrote this to the church at Corinth in 1 Corinthians 4:Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful. As for me, it matters very little how I might be evaluated by you or by any human authority. I don’t even trust my own judgment on this point. My conscience is clear, but that doesn’t prove I’m right. It is the Lord himself who will examine me and decide.

The church needs more leaders! Leaders who will step up to the plate and serve God from a heart of steadfastness. When you make a commitment to faithfulness in serving God is right there with you to keep you on track. Look at 1 Corinthians 10:12 If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. 13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. Faithfulness is God powered and a direct result of a growing relationship with Jesus. A major characteristic of faithfulness is sticktuitiveness.

When you commit to something, don't give God leftovers in the area of time, showing up, or honing your skills in whatever you do. Do your best and God will take you to a whole new level of serving that compliments the work of His church. When you commit to something, work at it with all you are and all you have and you will experience a deeper walk with God and a deeper relationship with the church. You are a part of it all!!!
