Dead and Buried!

2 Corinthians 5:14 Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. 5 He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.

When we accept Christ the old life is gone and the new life is a super injection into a new way of living life. We begin living our life for the purpose of Christ and the Holy Spirit comes alive in us and then a change takes place. This change continues to morph us into a person who becomes an ambassador of Jesus Christ. Some have started walking through grave yards thinking they can recapture their old self (for whatever reason) and the thing about graveyards is "all the people are dead." We who are alive in Christ have tasted a new way of living and it is unmistakable and awesome!! Psalm 34: 8 Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! We can truly say "I am alive in Christ!"

The evil one will try and try to get us to quit believing in this new life because he knows if believers live their belief they are unstoppable!! And I believe. Do you? Then act upon that belief and see what God can do to impact your corner and every corner of the world!! Just remember to keep the old you Dead and Buried!! Jesus died for everyone so that we will no longer live for ourselves. Our happiness is found in living for Christ and Him alone. We should come to Jesus in prayer and say "You complete me!"(ala Jerry McGuire) . Further in this chapter Paul writes the very familiar scripture in verse 17. Verse 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! I love that verse and I believe it......TOTALLY!!!

So don't be hanging around your old self. That part of you is dead. Live in the life of Jesus and see the abundant life as it is meant to be. It is easy to figure out which is the best way to live. Just follow what Jesus says in John 10:10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

The Pilgrimage continues.....
