An Attractive Proposition

Wherever we go, we will have divine appointments set up by God. In the grocery store line, at the gas station, and many other places, so be prepared and have your spiritual weapons ready, because we are in a spiritual battle with evil forces. Those evil forces would like to kill the message of Jesus because they know there is power in the message. What weapons am I talking about? First of all, prayer. Praying for God to give us opportunities and, in those opportunities, to be wise in what we say and how we say it. I knew a guy who said if he didn't offend a lost person, he wasn't doing what God wanted him to do. I don't believe we offend someone into receiving Jesus, who offers this salvation through God's love. Paul apparently felt the same way as he wrote the following words to the church in Colossae. Colossians 4: ⁵ Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. ⁶ Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.

Keep in mind there is only one God, and I am not Him. So I just present the message, and God will take care of the rest, and then when the person accepts the message of hope and not condemnation, they have to make their own decision as to whether to accept Jesus or not. Paul, in the above verses, told them and us to be wise in how we present the message and how we converse with unbelievers. I wrote a song about this very thing, and I have put lyrics to tell the story below. The song is entitled He's In My Heart.

In the above song, you can see the process God uses to share His message of love and power. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give you a discerning mind, and you will soon lead someone to Jesus because you were sensitive "in the moment" to God's leading you.
