Blessing

The Hebrew word for blessing is Bracha, and blessings can be seen in many different ways. First of all, God gives His children blessings, and I am one whom He has blessed.
Secondly, on March 24, I found out that I had prostate cancer, and that totally knocked me off my feet, because I do not have cancer in my family tree. On April 30 I found out the results of a biopsy I had taken and that was when I found out my cancer was stage four. Stage four??!!! Where in the world did all of this come from? But God has been here through it all, and when the oncologist told me that if I don't aggressively treat it, I will have about eighteen months to live. WAKE UP CALL!!! God's people prayed; we prayed, believing God was going to come through, and He began to work. PSA is everything when watching the existence of cancer. My PSA at one point was 4.1, which isn't too high, but high enough for the aggressive cancer I have to go to my bones in five places, which is called metastasizing, and that is bad. Bone pain is supposed to come along with it, but God provided, and I have had no bone pain....at all. BLESSING. Also, my PSA went from 4.1 to 0.29 in one month. BLESSING. Andra and I flew to MD Anderson, and they checked me with a CT scan, and the scan showed only two places where the cancer was in the bone. BLESSING. I then had labs at our cancer facility, and the reading came back at 0.03 psa and we rejoiced. BLESSING. I had more labs this week, and I checked the online results, and they read PSA 0.008, or no detection of cancer cells. BLESSING. I am undeserving of all of this, but praise God, I am rejoicing because God did it!!
God did it, and my testimony is a living testimony of God healing me, and I must give this testimony and proclaim the mercies of our Lord, and those mercies are awesome! To all who have prayed for me, that is another blessing, and God is not through yet, so keep on praying. I will continue to be observed and tested to make sure the cancer doesn't do something different and sneaky, but at this point, we are rejoicing. I have a praying wife and praying friends who truly believe. BLESSING. I still have bad days, and those are usually in my mind. There is no pain in my bones, which the doctor at MD Anderson couldn't understand. I know exactly what happened there. God did it and kept me pain free. BLESSING. I know I am "stepping out" by saying God has healed me, and to that I say "So be it." Psalm 16:1 Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge. 2 I said to the Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.”
I will not try to "explain away" what has happened for me, and to me, and God is still working and blessing, and I praise Him for His goodness and healing mercies. I continue to put my trust in God because He is trustworthy, and I know that even in the rough days God is here and working. Praise God!! Since this blog is about MY pilgrimage, this is today's observation and reality. Please keep praying for me, because all indications are "it is working!!"
