Are You Immovable?

I know some of you are taking a stand for Jesus, as I am, in these tumultuous times in our world and I definitely agree with taking a stand for our Christian way of life. And we must always remember that we should stand for those things that are pure and true and lined up with the Word of God. The Word of God will stretch us, mold us, and empower us to live the life that Jesus has promised us, the abundant life. You may read that line and think "what is so abundant about the life lived for Jesus?" It is a life of Direction - Proverbs 16:3 says Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. The Lord's direction is the ultimate direction, and we should be able to see that direction since we have come the "narrow" way initially in our faith. And coming the narrow way opens up to a very broad way of living that is tied to the truths of God's Word and in the following scripture it states that the result of going that way is life. Matthew 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.14 For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it. It is also a life of Decision - Proverbs 16:20 Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord. A husband and wife, prior to marriage, decided that he'd make all the major decisions and she the minor ones. After 20 years of marriage, he was asked how this arrangement had worked. "Great! in all these years I've never had to make a major decision. If we learn to trust God in "all" things and truly discern according to His Word the "big" decisions in life never get big, because God handles them before they get big. Also, to have a God perspective on life makes the problems of life so much smaller. Psalm 37:3 The steps of a man are established by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Promises - Psalm 20:4 May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. God is faithful to His Word and His promises are real. Paul wrote to the church at Corinth and in 2 Corinthians 1:20 Paul wrote; 20 For as many as the promises of God are, in Him they are yes; therefore through Him also is our Amen to the glory of God through us. If there was ever an example of what it means to keep a promise, our Lord is that example, and He never fails. It is a life of Power (God's Power) - There is power in the name of Jesus and that is more than just a song we sing. That power is real because the Bible is true!!! Paul wrote to the Philippians and in chapter 2:9-11 says 9 For this reason also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Jesus has the power and the more we realize this the more we will live in His Power and His might. We must never take for granted this power and never abuse it by thinking is has to do with anything we have done. But God's power is real and just as real today as in what we call "Bible times." We can never limit what God can do and we can rely on His power to live that abundant life of victory. When God gets in on a situation things begin to happen and that is evidence of His power and glory. His power makes us immovable as we live for Him and things that are hopeless become very hopeful. Trust Him and rely on Him and all things will work for good for those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 further tells this story where is Paul writes 28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. God IS good and He is good ALL THE TIME. Never move from trusting Him in all things and see that life He promised become a reality!!!

The Pilgrimage continues....
