This Morning is Alive- True Relief

Sometimes I take this life for granted and forget that I get to meet with Almighty God, and He desires to hear my voice, as I acknowledge I am nothing without Him and His unfailing love. I turn my face to the one who is looking deep in my heart and ready to minister to me with that unfailing love. I compare it to a time when I was working hard on a hot day baling hay in the good ole Missouri sunshine, when the temperature was a little over a hundred degrees. At the close of the day, sweaty and worn out, I went over to an old pump that still pumped cool water, picked up the hose, and got the pump working and pumped that cold water over me. Time seemed to slow down and almost stop as I received the cooling water running down my back and over my head.

This morning God took a troubled mind and poured His oil of relief over my heart and mind, and gave me a wonderful cool down at the start of my day. What a treat!! Focus rejuvenated, heart stirred, and spirit lifted by Jesus. The Psalmist was spot on when writing the following words. Psalm 92: 1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. 2 It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening,
I hope you will stop, think, and consider the whole access the Father gives us to experience this love every moment of every day. Paul wrote the following words to the church in Thessalonica, and I have looked at these words as a challenge to live a life of prayer to handle life. Today, this scripture prompts me to communicate with God on a constant level. 1 Thessalonians 5:16 Always be joyful. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
This will make your morning come live in a whole new way, realizing that God wants to pour His comforting and revitalizing salve over your wounds and make you new. I see Lamentations in a whole new way today, as it says in Lamentations3:22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. 23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. 24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”
Part of this pilgrimage is my realization of deeper truths as I walk with the Lord, and today was just another in a long line of wake-ups for me. Perhaps today's blog will prompt a deeper look for you, too. God's love is so personal that He hits each of us just where we are, and sometimes we see we are more like-minded than we thought, and yet the likeness in each of us is unique, and also shared. Only God could do such a wonderful thing.
The Pilgrimage Continues,
