The point is the Lord equips us to live this abundant life He has promised us and the power to this life is found in the Word of God. Paul trusted the Word He preached again and again. Even though it convicted others to point of wanting to kill him, Paul would not quit believing this Word and that is a direct link back to the way Jesus fought the devil in the wilderness. Paul is now going to be taken to Rome because he tells Festus the following truth in the midst of great accusation. Acts 25:10 But Paul said, “I am standing before Caesar’s tribunal, where I ought to be tried. I have done nothing wrong to the Jews, as you also very well know. 11 If, therefore, I am in the wrong and have committed something deserving death, I am not trying to avoid execution; but if there is nothing to the accusations which these men are bringing against me, no one can hand me over to them. I appeal to Caesar.” 12 Then when Festus had conferred with his council, he answered, “You have appealed to Caesar; to Caesar you shall go.”
We must address The Wilderness of the Mind. Where is your mind when you are tempted? Is it in the Word of God? If not, you are defeated already because your mind is not prepared, in that it doesn't hold the truth of the Word of God. Where is your heart in your commitment to God? Do you truly believe in God doing what His Word says, or do you waffle? Time to firm up your faith in your heart and mind and give them to God. James wrote this in James 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that person ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, 8 being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. Believe and do not doubt, no matter what happens. That is the path of a man of God. and a man of the Word of God!! If you know Jesus, that is your path. So stay on the path and keep looking ahead. Luke 9: 57 As they were going on the road, someone said to Him, “I will follow You wherever You go.”58 And Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” 59 And He said to another, “Follow Me.” But he said, “Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.” 60 But He said to him, “Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and proclaim everywhere the kingdom of God.” 61 Another also said, “I will follow You, Lord; but first permit me to say goodbye to those at my home.”62 But Jesus said to him, “No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”
Is your hand at the plow? Are you prepared for this journey? Is your mind set on the things of God? Paul wrote these words to the church in Colossae in Colossians 3: 1 Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Ask God to bring you out of The Wilderness of the Mind and you will find yourself in a wonderful place called "The Will of God."
Share the Word,
