John 16:25 “I have spoken of these matters in figures of speech, but soon I will stop speaking figuratively and will tell you plainly all about the Father. 26 Then you will ask in my name. I’m not saying I will ask the Father on your behalf, 27 for the Father himself loves you dearly because you love me and believe that I came from God. 28 Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father.” 29 Then his disciples said, “At last you are speaking plainly and not figuratively.30 Now we understand that you know everything, and there’s no need to question you. From this we believe that you came from God.” 31 Jesus asked, “Do you finally believe? 32 But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when you will be scattered, each one going his own way, leaving me alone. Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me. 33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
Now Jesus is speaking in "plain" terms to His disciples, instead of "figures of speech." Jesus goes on to tell the disciples He won't ask on our behalf, but He has made access to the Father through the blood. The writer of Hebrews explains how all of this happens and what we receive because of it. Hebrews 4:14 So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Whatever we receive, we receive from the Father and Jesus has opened the path for communication, for wisdom, for power, and many other things to allow us to speak to Abba Father in a more intimate way, as a child. And oh how the Father loves His children!! Whatever might have been a little fuzzy for any of us to understand is now "crystal clear." The Lights are on, and those lights shine in the darkness and the enemy hates this so much because our eyes are opened to the truth from God the Father, through Jesus our Savior. PRAISE THE LORD!! The Prophet Micah said it this way as God prompted Him. Micah 6:8 No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you:
to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
The question now is "What will we do now that our eyes are opened?" We can reject it lose the "fresh" truth that comes from this deeper relationship. Or, we can accept it and take it for what it is and step into a new realm of understanding made possible by Jesus and guided by the Holy Spirit. Godly wisdom and understanding is at a primium, but our hearts and minds must be receptive to God's perfect instructions from His Word. Paul knew this and in the midst of much confusion and doubt in the church at Ephesus he throws and pearl of wisdom out there for them and us. Ephesians 1:16 I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, 17 asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom[f] and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. 18 I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
When we step into this new realm of understanding that shines light in the darkness and changes us at our deepest level, we begin to see like the Apostles and things begin to make total sense and our eyes are opened to the real truth as given by the Word of God. You will never realize this truth until you come the source, the Word of God, with a receptive heart that is willing accept His wisdom and His power and live a victorious life that has been made possible by Jesus. There is a narrow path TO salvation, but a wide path TO the Father and everything He has to offer is for us according to His riches in glory. Here is what Jesus did for us and we need to know this and receive it. Philippians 4:19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
No more darkness. The Lights Are ON!! No reason to stumble and fall because of the wonderful grace of God. LIve like the lights are on. Proverbs 4:16 For evil people can’t sleep until they’ve done their evil deed for the day. They can’t rest until they’ve caused someone to stumble.17 They eat the food of wickedness and drink the wine of violence!
18 The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day.19 But the way of the wicked is like total darkness. They have no idea what they are stumbling over.
Now you know.....
