The Jesus Way

Updated: May 28

If you are into watching The Mandolorian then you will quickly see that there is a very familiar saying that the Mandolarians say and that statement is "This is the Way!" This parallels with the name given to new testament followers of Jesus. They were called followers of The Way. Jesus said these words in John 14 and the verse goes like this. John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. You notice Jesus didn't say "I am one way" but He did say "I am THE way!" No other options and we know "This is the Way!" Not a Mandolian statement, but a life statement because there is no other life, but the life is given to us by Jesus who is the way, the truth, and the life. Jesus is THE WAY!!

To follow Jesus as The Way also empowers us and challenges us to live The Jesus Way. The writer of Proverbs gives us great insights into the importance of Jesus being the way for each of us. Proverbs 14:12 There is a path before each person that seems right,

but it ends in death. Jesus leads to life and the other path leads to death. This is a very serious subject for each of us who call Jesus our Savior and Lord. To follow the Jesus Way is to follow a whole different set of priorities, purposes, and plans. Everything in our life should funnel into Kingdom living with Kingdom values and Kingdom focus. That is the Jesus Way!

God has made it possible for you to have all of Jesus and thus be able to live The Jesus Way, so why not do it? Perhaps it is a lack of faith, desire, commitment, fear, or willingness. Whatever it is we must put our life under the direction of the one who died for sin and gave us abundant life so we could experience and live The Jesus Way.

The Pilgrimage Continues.

Have you ever been around people that are always looking to point out your faults and they use little trite, out-of-context scriptures to pound on you? It is becoming more of a practice in our world

Acts 9:10-11 Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” And the Lord said to him, “Rise and go to the street calle
