Silence the Haters

ree

John 15: 18 “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; if they followed My word, they will follow yours also. 21 But all these things they will do to you on account of My name, because they do not know the One who sent Me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 The one who hates Me hates My Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well. 25 But this has happened so that the word that is written in their Law will be fulfilled: ‘They hated Me for no reason.’ 26 “When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, namely, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, He will testify about Me, 27 and you are testifying as well, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

Do you feel the haters? You know, the people who are not born again? Jesus said it shows you are not of this world and we are lined up with Him when they hate. Jesus chose you and me to serve Him and He gave us our marching orders, but not without a warning. The rub for us is we "totally" believe in what the Word of God says because we have been born again in the Spirit, which gives us a different vantage point than the world who rejects Jesus. The warning from Jesus is found in vers 20 where He says, 20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; if they followed My word, they will follow yours also. We may get persecuted, but along with this persecution comes results. Souls saved and lives changed. IF we present your Word and not just our flawed opinion. Without the Word we get sidetracked and we lose the purity of His message. SO STUDY THE WORD AND YOU WILL FIND YOUR WAY.

The problems and persecution Jesus dealt with will happen to us to when we present what the Word of God says. Just make sure it is not watered down and influenced with Humanistic impurities. Humanism (def) - an outlook or system of thought attaching prime importance to human rather than divine or supernatural matters. Humanist beliefs stress the potential value and goodness of human beings, emphasize common human needs, and seek solely rational ways of solving human problems. We can call it "watered-down truth" which is really no truth at all. Just speculation.

If we rely on God's Word we can silence the haters and their flawed arguments. Haters are everywhere. They are on the street, at the workplace, and in the church organization. Our message must be foundationed on the Word of God or we are just out there taking up oxygen. We have the Spirit of Truth as Jesus stated in verse 26 26 “When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, namely, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, He will testify about Me. Our testimony will driven by the truth of the Holy Spirit and that truth will usually not line up with humanistic thinking, so don't follow the teachings of religions, but use the Word of God only and you will have the perfect truth. GUARANTEED!!

If we follow His Word, the purity of it will silence the haters and give us the direction we need. That's "what God's talking about!"
