Settlement

Sometimes there is friction in relationships, and in that friction, doubt and confusion can creep in, and that hurts the relationship. God has not only sent Jesus to reach out to us and give us salvation, but he has also encompassed us in an everlasting grace that keeps this relationship firm and growing. It is vital to keep your faith walk with God as current as possible, and in that faith walk, take steps from our end by prioritizing meeting with God. This is the part of our faith walk where we need to be active in approaching God a lot to gain the wisdom we need to grow in our faith and thus keep the friction, doubt, and confusion at bay. This is the identity of our faith walk, and God has settled anything that might get in between Him and us, and of course, He has done this perfectly.

The prophet Isaiah, in speaking God's words, showed very well just how strong God desires us to turn our hearts and our lives toward HIm. Isaiah 1: ¹⁸ “Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow.

Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool. God's love so high and so broad that He has affirmed the transaction He set into motion, and that transaction involves faith from us and everything else from Him.

Everything has been settled by God enabling us access to the throne of grace at any time, and His grace covers any sin, so that we stay 'right' with Him. In our human way of thinking, we lose the significance of the breadth of this grace when we begin to look at others with " God's eyes," and those eyes will cause others to drift away from God instead of drawing closer to God. God's eyes are for God only. He sees our sins, and His grace is immediate and clear. We see others' sins, and many times judgment is the end result. Jesus himself said, 'Judge not, or you will be judged, which upsets the purity of what God has done to settle the issue.

Some Christians want to write a new Bible where what they perceive, through human reasoning, is the standard. The Bible they dictate from their thoughts puts them in a position of judging, and in that judging, we do not see purity at all. As God said in the above verses in Isaiah 1, He reasoned this out, and even though we have sinned, His grace makes our lives 'as white as snow." This was all settled on the cross, through the blood of Jesus. We should not bring something up again that is settled and done with, and then drag ourselves back down to a life of friction, doubt, and confusion, because the settlement is complete.
