Isaiah 50:The Sovereign Lord has given me his words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will. Morning Alert!!! We woke up...... alive!! Praise God. No, I really mean, Praise God!!
But, what now? Like the moving clouds in this website we see that things change and we learn to adjust to the change, with the Lord's help. How does He help? As the above scripture describes our help in past, present, and future days is the Lord and He gives us wisdom that is just the prescription we need for any situations we face. I don't say this lightly and at times in the past I have even minimized that statement and treated it as just the "Christian" thing to say. But if our faith is just a bunch of quaint sayings, where is the depth? The deeper we dive into God's Word we begin to realize a foundation for living that adjusts, many times on the fly, to the changing landscape of our lives. Step by step our God opens our understanding to the things going on around us and takes our responses to those ever-changing things and grows us in our faith. God teaches us how to learn and respond to what we call "the good things" and "the bad things."
As clouds move in and out we begin to acquire this great wisdom that is faith-building and life stirring and we grow in our walk with God. To be allowed to grow closer to the God of the Universe should prompt us to seek Him out and begin to respond in faith steps ourselves because we learn that we can trust God and His wisdom. The more we do this the more we realize a depth in our walk that lines us up with God, and His Word begins to jump off the page and the rest is His story for our lives. If God's people would immerse themselves in this deepening relationship with God we would see the mysteries of life be mysteries no more. I need this and I need to seek it first thing in the morning to give me wisdom for living my day, moment by moment, standing firm as the clouds move through.
If you don't believe this is true then how do you handle Jeremiah 33:3 Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. As we come to grow closer and closer to God we begin to realize that there are certain things that we cannot wrap our minds around until we have some background in the understanding of them. God is always warning us about using our time wisely and seeking Him, but too many times we ignore the great need to study about Him and His ways and forgetfulness takes over. During the Covid Pandemic there were many reports that came out about people dealing with "brain fog" and that seems to be what has affected so many believers when it comes to making life decisions in accordance to God's Word. God's Word doesn't allow for brain fog, but tells us if we will seek the Kingdom of God we will find it. Matthew 6:33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
What should be our attitude when seeking the Lord. Psalm 42:1-2 says it this way 1 As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God.2 I thirst for God, the living God.
When can I go and stand before him? Are you thirsting? Then get a refreshing drink from God's Word first thing in the morning and God will continue to satisfy your thirst throughout the day, no matter what clouds move in on your life.
The Pilgrimage Continues.
