Look Up! Memory Restored...

Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. 3 They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.

As we look at the awesomeness of God we see the Glory of God. How can we ever forget His awesomeness? Every day, all day the heavens declare the glory of God for us to see and experience. But sometimes we get so immersed in our daily struggles and forget that His mercies are new every day as scripture proclaims and when we remember that all those struggles turn into little blips on the radar screen of our life. In the above scripture the psalmist says that "day after day they pour forth speech and night after night they reveal knowledge." We need to never forget that God is in control and that He is going "before" us in our lives making a way and that way is the best way for us.

God's Word proclaims these truths and it is vital that we trust His Word and follow His Word because His Word is perfect. Look at what the psalmist says in the following verses

7 The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,

making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. That pretty much "nails down" the truth of the Word of God. You can substitute the Word Bible where it says law of the Lord and know that God's Word is the gauge for living our lives.

In verse 10 the psalmist describes the Words of God like this: 10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. This sweetness is refreshing without a chance of overdoing it and it makes us Look Up to the one who gives this Word to us. Every time we Look Up we see the Glory of God and the awesomeness of the One who created it all. I would suggest getting up early in the morning and spending each morning with God and then go out every night and Look Up and remember that God is in control and that He is our strength and our life and let that realization fuel your memory to spend time with Him every day. There is so much more that God wants to show us if we will only come to Him.....to Him. So Look Up and realize that God is waiting for each of us to trust Him and His Will, and walk in that will with total faith.
