Look Up!!

look up

In times of trouble.  In times of doubt.  In times of fear.  God is with us. LOOK UP!

In times of persecution.   In times of bad health.  In times of desperation.  God is with us.  LOOK UP!!

Psalm 121 says it all to me.   I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? 2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! 3 He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. 4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. 5 The Lord himself watches over you!  The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. 6 The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. 7 The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. 8 The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

There are going to be times when you feel like you just can’t go on, but God is right there with you and you can lean on Him.  There is a hope that is beyond all we can comprehend, but we must embrace it to find the solace that only God can give.  I have many times been in a tough time and stop to lift my eyes and yes, my hands to the Lord and felt His overwhelming presence minister to my heart.  Oh, how good it is to know the Lord is right here with us. Yes, we can depend on Him; trust Him; believe in Him, and know that He is good.

Corrie Ten Boom wrote  “Often I have heard people say, ‘How good God is! We prayed that it would not rain for our church picnic, and look at the lovely weather!’ Yes, God is good when He sends good weather. But God was also good when He allowed my sister, Betsie, to starve to death before my eyes in a German concentration camp. I remember one occasion when I was very discouraged there. Everything around us was dark, and there was darkness in my heart. I remember telling Betsie that I thought God had forgotten us. ‘No, Corrie,’ said Betsie, ‘He has not forgotten us. Remember His Word: “For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His steadfast love toward those who fear Him.” ” Corrie concludes, “There is an ocean of God’s love available—there is plenty for everyone. May God grant you never to doubt that victorious love—whatever the circumstances.”

Look up oh believer to the Lord where your help comes from and see that God is faithful to deliver and shower you with blessings and victories in the midst of tough times and good times.  Thank you, Jesus!!

The Pilgrimage continues….
