Jesus, Reliable Lord

There may be times in your life when you have the unexpected happen to you, and your faith is really stretched. I have found that this is the time to bear down in your belief in the Lord and His faithfulness. Great men and women of the faith had to do this on a regular basis because of the persecution they were experiencing as they continued on their faith walk. If you feel distant right now from the Lord, Jesus has not moved!! Jesus is so reliable, and He is the strong tower we hold to in all situations, but especially those unexpected moments when we are being stretched.

The writer of Hebrews offers a stalwart truth that we can hold to in all the occurences in life and the follow scripture is something i hold to in an ever-shifting world. Hebrews 13:⁸ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. ⁹ So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. Your strength comes from God’s grace, not from rules about food, which don’t help those who follow them. In other words, His truth and reliability are just as fresh today as they have always been, and you can rely on Jesus in every situation in your life. Not just words, but true reliability. Do not lessen your attitude about Jesus when the world offers you a poor substitute for His power. His power is the only thing we can rely on in our faith walk, so hold on to it for dear life!! Because His power IS LIFE.

Reliable (def) - describes someone or something trustworthy, consistent, and dependable, often yielding accurate results or performing predictably. The predictability of how God moves is prompted consistently by His great love for each of us. Psalm 33:4 For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness.
