IYKYK-If You Know You Know

What does it mean to "live in the light?" You know,"Lord shine a light for me to see and know I am going the right way" type of light. One point to make is that this whole thing is the Word of God, and it shines a light on which path to take and why that path is necessary. 1 John 1:5 This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. 6 So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. 7 But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. Those following the light and also shine that light through their life have a connection with other lights, and there is a God induced fellowship that we call the church. Some want their light to shine brightest, so they ignore sharing their light with other lights, which compromises their light due to their personal desires.

This is not a mystery that cannot be understood, but a vital truth to "the church" as an organism that is growing and spreading out into our world.

When the Psalmist writes in Psalm 119: 105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet

and a light for my path. It is also stating that darkness is a possibility for those who are children of the light. And the light is Jesus. The Word of God is our light, and in this light we have hope, wisdom, and understanding about how to live as children of light. God is not withholding any necessary truth from His children, so that we can walk a steadfast path of faith. So.....If You Know You Know. No excuses. The truth is evident, and now it comes back to you wanting to know the truth, and thus, living in that truth. Here is where it all can come apart for the born-again believer. If we choose worldly ways over God's truth, then we begin a walk of compromise and weakness, and we become an easy target for satan.

Here is where our prayer life begins to make a change for each of us. God offers us all that the abundant life is, and in that, He shows us the way. Jesus said it this way in Matthew 7: 7 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Keep on pursuing God and He will show you great and mighty things that will deepen your walk with Him. In those deep places, God reveals more and more of Himself to you and shows you the mysteries of life and all its answers. The Prophet Jeremiah shared these words from God in Jeremiah 33: 3 Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.

God will always show us His truth, but are we willing to accept that truth and see our whole path lit up with a Godly direction, or will we keep God at "arm's length?" When you seek God, let Him get up in your crawl and do some work on your heart, and you might see that your loyalty to God is compromised and you need to readjust. DO IT. DO IT NOW!

James 4:8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. IYKYK and now you REALLY know—time for change.
