It's All About Jesus

2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

So many times we think our spiritual walk is about us and what we do or don't do, and scripture says that an alive faith is a doing faith. Where does that "doing faith" come from? The answer is The Holy Spirit. The above scripture speaks to a life that has been given for our sins so that we might have the righteousness of God. That life is Jesus and Him alone.

The sacrifice of Jesus and the shedding of His blood for our sins made us not only whole but righteous, also known as the righteousness of God. It doesn't mean we are better than others, but it does mean we have the Holy Spirit to grow us in our faith and teach us the mysteries of God per His Word. 1 Peter 2:1 So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. 2 Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, 3 now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.

Peter is compelling us to live "that life" and that life is a growing walk that is made possible by the righteousness of God. We aren't any better in anything we do, but the Spirit takes our faith walk to a higher plane that causes us to pursue God in all areas of our life. God's grace keeps "this train moving" and even though we still fail God continues to sanctify our life in every area. No longer will sin be the ruler, but only God is on the throne of our life and His Spirit grows us up in the Lord. Satan wants that process to stop immediately and he will continue to try to hold back the Spirit of God in our life, but God is victorious in all things if we will continue to pursue Him every moment of every day.

God is so good to not just send us out on a mission, but give us His power to complete that mission for Him. When Jesus sent out His disciples He sent them with His message and that was enough. IT STILL IS ENOUGH! But the message has to be shared!! That is why we must share Jesus and Him alone and we will see great things happen. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Have you ever been around people that are always looking to point out your faults and they use little trite, out-of-context scriptures to pound on you? It is becoming more of a practice in our world

Acts 9:10-11 Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” And the Lord said to him, “Rise and go to the street calle
