Inside Peace, Outside Harmony

The statement we will hear from time to time is "Why can't we just get along?" Why doesn't God's love translate and make it into our lives? Too much pride and self-interest is at the core of this great problem in the lives of born-again believers and non-believers alike, and the only one who can fix it is God, because God is love. The group Coldplay has a song that raises some questions, but gives the wrong answer to the problem. Here are the lyrics to the chorus of the song Fix You. Lights will guide you home and ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you. Not all lights are available to guide us home, but the light of Jesus is the one light that can fix you.
We beat ourselves up trying to find peace when the peace is readily accessible to us. This peace is not a peace that comes from outside sources. It is a peace that is found in the heart of every born-again believer, but not accessed enough. Paul wrote the following to the church at Colossae in Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father
I had a surprise downer today, and it threw me for a big loop, and my reaction was weak and very human-based. Then the Holy Spirit reminded me about where my peace comes from, and when I turned to the Lord, He came through again, and my peace bloomed in the midst of this tough situation, and it God did it. It was so evident, but so far from an explanation, so I won't even attempt to explain. Suffice it to say, God did it! Nuff said!! His light guided me to where my home is, and that is in the presence of God Himself. This is one of the many benefits that come along with God's righteousness, and He has lavished His great love on me when I was up against a tough situation and needed a shot of His power. The Helper (Holy Spirit) came through as only He can, and God gave me a shot of real peace, and I was "really" fixed when His light brought me back to my place of peace, that is only found in Jesus. Thank you, Jesus!!
The Word of God is dwelling in me, and the Words of Jesus in the present tense do richly dwell in me, and all is good. Peace on the inside equals harmony on the outside. I am now singing the song of praise to the only peacemaker in my life and He is worthy of my praise. The helper really helped, and this is not some fairy tale. IT REALLY HAPPENED AND JESUS REALLY CAME THROUGH, WITH THE PEACE THAT IS ONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH HIM.
When studying the Word of God, don't just read it. Believe it, too. Therein we see the miracles that only God can supply, and He is worthy of our praise. His light came down and fixed me. God's love is incredible.
