Filled to Overflowing

When we are born-again, we are born in the Spirit, and that transformation alone is a life changer. But what is the effect of that transformation? A desire to know God who saved you, and to get to know how others were transformed. What we have in Christ is true richness, and our quality of life will become better and better, and that is what I call our faith walk. Paul speaks to the effect of our relationship with Jesus in Colossians 3: 16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. I am a worship leader, and in my attitude about leading God's people to sing to our Creator, I realize that we are in a different time in our world where a soloist is all we want to hear, but we miss the opportunity to live out the scriptures' call to worship as brothers and sisters in Christ. I always exhort a congregation to sing out together to Jesus, knowing that is what we are all called to do. Making a joyful noise is not in the quality of the voice, but the heart, driving the believer to join with others and sing.
Colossians 3: Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. 17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. If the enemy can silence our voice when praising God, he will try to silence our voice in the world we live in, which shows the power of the vocal witness that shares the message of the gospel.
There will always be a group who want to silence the "radicals" who loudly lift up the Lord in praise, but don't give in to them, because we are filled to overflowing with God's love and Holy Spirit in our lives. Jesus said this in reply to religious "dead" people who questioned His followers' praise for Him. Luke 19:36 As he rode along, the crowds spread out their garments on the road ahead of him. 37 When he reached the place where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen.38 “Blessings on the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!”39 But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!”40 He replied, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!”
Praise WILL be given to the King of Kings. Do not be found not giving Him praise to the top of your lungs!! Sing with all you are and all you have in Jesus. He will not be denied because His Spirit is overflowing in our lives and in our voices. Don't be shy. Be a radical worshipper!! When you have Jesus, you are filled to overflowing.
The Pilgrimage Continues,
