Can't Touch This

John10: 39 Once again they tried to arrest him, but he got away and left them. 40 He went beyond the Jordan River near the place where John was first baptizing and stayed there awhile. 41 And many followed him. “John didn’t perform miraculous signs,” they remarked to one another, “but everything he said about this man has come true.”42 And many who were there believed in Jesus.

We are only in chapter 10 of the book of John and the Pharisees have tried to arrest Jesus, stone Jesus, and overall just stop any progress He might make. They couldn't touch Him at times and at times they would lose Him as He slips away from certain groups. Everything Jesus did was planned by the Father and He continued on toward the cross without letting any religious leaders stop Him. God's perfect plan was on the move and all of that plan was in Jesus and God's power was being seen in His actions and in His wisdom. Jesus is truly the Messiah, and all prophecies about Him coming and what He would do came to fruition. PERFECT.

The religious leaders tried to stop Him through human means, but the Spirit of God intervened every time, and God was there all along the way. Our Lord is near us as well, and His presence is realized by those who are born again because the second birth is a spiritual birth. We are connected to God through Jesus, and the Holy Spirit has been given to each new convert as a comforter, a convicter, and an advocate in our corner at every turn in life. We are protected and provided for and the Holy Spirit keeps on track as the Word of God comes alive in our lives as we read, study it, and live it. Then when the enemy attacks we just have to say Jesus, and the enemy has to flee. That is when Jesus says about us to satan, "Can't Touch This." Paul wrote it this way in Philippians 2: Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names,10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,11 and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

At the name of Jesus scripture says to satan about born again believers, "Can't Touch This!"
