Help!!

One day after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, I am still reeling in my thoughts about our world and my place in the battle we are fighting. The old Beatles song Help really brings to mind that we need help. Help! I need somebody! Help! Not just anybody, Help! You know I need someone! Help! We do need help, and that help can only come from one person, and that person is Jesus. Oh, Jesus, we need your help and your power to live the life you have called us to live. Here are some of the characteristics of the help we can get from Jesus. In Isaiah's prophecy, who Jesus is and what He can do. Isaiah 9: 6 For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!
It is not Christmas yet, but the identity of Jesus is a moment-by-moment experience, and He wants to help us. All of this is so much more than just a holiday experience, as promoted by a lost and dying world. Jesus is our life, and He is ready to help in our times of need, and we need Him more than ever. Part of His help would be showing us what to get OUT of our life, and the other part would be what to get IN to our life. If you have never received Jesus by faith and you are on the fence as to what to do in this season of hurt and fear, come to Jesus. He will be your Savior and your friend, and the peace in the midst of the storms in your life.
The Son of God sacrificed His life and His perfection for you and me by taking our sin on Him and dying to give the sacrifice needed to make us right with God, but you need to come to Him by faith and repent of your sins and receive Him by faith. Romans 3:23 says All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. This is the love of God, and you can realize more and more of God's love and experience in a more personal way if you will turn to Jesus for salvation. Paul said it all in Ephesians 3:14 When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, 15 the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. 16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
We make it through days like today with one thing: God's love, and that love is accessible to all who call Him Savior. Receive His salvation, which is a direct result of the love of God. God hears the prayers of His children, and He responds with HELP!!
Psalm 34:17 The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed. 19 The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.
