John 14:6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
One of my good friends, David Christopher sent me a message explaining a very great truth. In life we get many different passes. We get parking passes, hall passes in school, season passes into sporting events, and many more, but what is the most important pass? The pass given to us into eternity with God provided by Jesus, our Savior. This "eternal" pass is the most important, of course, but we how quickly we forget about that pass in our hurried up world of living. I really appreciate David bringing that to mind for me and it is definitely the ultimate pass. Never forget....
In the above scripture Jesus reminds us also that the only way to get that "pass" is thorugh accepting Him by faith. Just think about it. Eternity with the pure essence of love and peace, Jesus. The defintion of eternity is infinite or unending time. And we get to spend that time with Jesus, our Savior. As we see this world changing more and more every day it is such an encouragement and a comfort to know that our eternity is in God's Hands and Jesus has given us the "eternal" pass into glory when our time comes. Praise God!!! The story below illustrates even more What a Pass We Have Been Given. Thank you Jesus.
Thinking of the fullness and duration of this wonderful life, W. B. Hinson, a great preacher of a past generation, spoke from his own experience just before he died. He said, "I remember a year ago when a doctor told me, 'You have an illness from which you won't recover.' I walked out to where I live 5 miles from Portland, Oregon, and I looked across at that mountain that I love. I looked at the river in which I rejoice, and I looked at the stately trees that are always God's own poetry to my soul. Then in the evening I looked up into the great sky where God was lighting His lamps, and I said, ' I may not see you many more times, but Mountain, I shall be alive when you are gone; and River, I shall be alive when you cease running toward the sea; and Stars, I shall be alive when you have fallen from your sockets in the great down pulling of the material universe!' "
The Pilgrimage continues....
Thanks for the reminder David Christopher
