Romans 4:13 Clearly, God’s promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was based not on his obedience to God’s law, but on a right relationship with God that comes by faith. 14 If God’s promise is only for those who obey the law, then faith is not necessary and the promise is pointless. 15 For the law always brings punishment on those who try to obey it. (The only way to avoid breaking the law is to have no law to break!)
16 So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe. 17 That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.
So when God promises something "He comes through!!" How easy it is to doubt, and how difficult at times it is to just believe and let the God who creates new things out of nothing take over and watch Him work. For God to create "new" things out of nothing is very significant because "new" is new!!! When I buy a "new" pair of tennis shoes they come in a box that is prepared for the "new" shoes within. I see the box with the tape tab to hold the lid down and I know someone built that shoe and then put it in the box and secured it. It is brand new!!!
When God creates something "new" out of a situation it is new. Just like when He makes a promise, it is a promise!! Nuff said!! I believe God's promises because I believe God's Word and our God never fails! Wrap your brain around that truth and life will be, not just more bearable, but more exciting and "new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! I love the "new" beginning part and I love how our Lord takes something not new and makes it new. Isaiah 43:19 For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. God can create something "new" out of "nothing." So my prayer is."C'mon God now is the time. Lets go!!"
