A Life Changed!!

The early disciples went about healing people and sharing the mesage of salvation thorugh Jesus Christ and the lives that were changed were many, and some very radical. In Acts 9:32-35 Peter meets a man named Aeneas and the Lord heals him. Here is the story as told in God's Word. 32 Meanwhile, Peter traveled from place to place, and he came down to visit the believers in the town of Lydda.33 There he met a man named Aeneas, who had been paralyzed and bedridden for eight years.34 Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you! Get up, and roll up your sleeping mat!” And he was healed instantly.35 Then the whole population of Lydda and Sharon saw Aeneas walking around, and they turned to the Lord.

One commentary said it is highly possible that Aeneas received new spiritual birth at the same time he received physical healing. Whatever the process, the man was able to walk after being paralyzed and bedridden for eight years. Peter had met him after coming to this town to share the gospel and after meeting him calls him by name and tells him Jesus has healed him and tells him to get up, roll up his sleeping mat, and he was healed instantly!! A life changed spiritually and physically is a life-change that others can see and respond to. This changed life resulted in the whole population of Lydda turning to the Lord. "The whole population!!!"

What effect is your life-change, or you relationship with Jesus having on those around you? Probably much more effect than you realize. Never minimize the effect that Jesus has had on your life and how that effect can impact others. If you have received Christ by faith you have experienced life-change and others will notice the change. Then you have an open door to tell them about what Jesus has done in your life and that they can experience it too. We called this Evangelism and it doesn't take any special training to be the witness we are called to be. It is just your story of what Jesus has done for you and the effect He has had on your life. No bells or whistles or special effects, just your story about how Jesus has healed you spiritually is enough and the Holy Spirit will take care of the rest.

Your story is unique to you, but it is a story of redemption and new life. It is a story of A Life Changed!! Everyone you meet should get a chance to hear it and the Holy Spirit will move and many others will be won to Christ through what happened to you.

The Pilgrimage Continues.....
